Radio is a different place. That’s the first thing.
It doesn’t work the same way the visual media do. And that’s why so many people seem to get it wrong.
They think that radio advertising is just press advertising read out by someone with a plummy voice.
Or that it’s a bit like TV, but without the pictures.
Worst of all, a lot of people – people who should know better – think radio ads simply aren’t worth expending any time or effort on. Which accounts for the poor quality of so many of them (if you don’t believe us, switch on any commercial station for an hour or so, and listen to the ad breaks)
But that’s why we exist.
